About Responsible Kids Network

with Marty Wolner

Responsible Kids Network was formed in 1995, in an effort to help nurture and support healthy and effective parenting. We have educated, enlightened, and practiced new parenting skills with hundreds of parents.

The founder of Responsible Kids Network, Marty Wolner (BA Communications - Temple University) is a Certified Parenting Educator for the Parenting Resource Education Network, and New Paradigm Training Institute in Ft. Washington, PA and the Institute for Family Professionals in Philadelphia, PA, and the parent of two teenagers.

Whereas most parenting information is focused on techniques and solutions for responding to a child's behavior, we are significantly different in that rather than hit-or-miss, broad suggestions as how to handle situations, we break down the process into components based on who a child is, their individual personality and make-up, and what emotional or relational health challenges he or she may face. By becoming more aware and understanding these components, parents become much more empowered, calmer, more focused and thus more effective.

And new skills need to be practiced. A parent will become much more effective if new skills are practiced one-on-one, without the inevitable heat-of-the-moment emotion that usually accompanies many interactions with kids.
